Guys,
I keep getting the following error message.
It's random and driving me crazy. Anyone else experienced it?
Essentially it pops up when I create a new title (TitleTool and Marquee) and when I re-create titles.
The workaround, is to restart. Then everything's ok for a while, then it pops up again when i try and save a title.
Ra-ey Q: "How many Editors does it take to change a lightbulb?" A: "Why do you want to change it?"
Well, the RLE part of the error probably refers to "Run Length Encoding". This possibly has to do with codecs. What version of QT? What resolution are you working at?

Hey Randall
Quicktime v7.4.5 (came pre-installed by reseller) and 185x resolution (MXF).
Looks like others are having a similar problem ... and rebooting or cycling power has been the (temporary) fix.

Thanks for that.
Hope Avid are onto it...
Just interested if anyone else is having as big an issue with this as we are.
Currently, we're having to reboot about every three or four Title changes. A nightmare on the present program

1080.
Both 50i and 59.94.
I was getting it a lot in the last show i just did, 1080p 23.98, it's much worse since going to version 3.0. i was restarting every half hour. by the time i got to the credits it was doing it every 4 titles or so. i made a subclip of just the credits and put it in a new bin and closed the bin with the whole show in it then restarted again. with only the bin with the credits in it opened i was able to do all the credits, 29 pages, without the error again, must be trying to have too much loaded in memory at once or something similar.
Any ideas Avid people?
This is much worse in 3.0 than 1.8 where it only had to restart maybe once a day
Ok this sucks. Im getting the same thing. HD 1080i 59.94. Re booting and powering up the BOB is not working. Can I go back to 1.8 after I have installed 3.o?

Steve,
This does indeed seem to be the only workaround that works, although I've found it's important that you've closed the main sequence bin (and all others) BEFORE you restart.
Glad it's not just my machine, and truly hope Avid are looking at it. It's honestly cost me a load of time.
At least we now have a workaround!
"... closed the main sequence bin (and all others) BEFORE you restart .."
If you launch Avid with the Alt/Option key depressed, Avid will start will all bins closed.
This sounds like a memory issue to me. I sent the error to avid today. Ill find out tomorrow from someone where they are up to with this issue. I really need it fixing soon or will have some very P ed of producers if its not.

Good point.
Were these titles originally created in XpressPro or Media Composer and you're now trying to re-create them in Symphony?
