just installed mc3.0 and so far so good. i'm acutally importing .m2ts shot on the JVC HD100 (direct to hard drive, dr-hd100) and am having luck.
what i can't do is transcode the files to DNxHD on import. regardless of the setting i choose in the video resolution dialogue box (in this case, DNxHD 90) it always imports as HDV 720p 23.976 (it reads that way in the bin). My project is 720p/23.976 w/ standard raster, although i've tried the import on all three available raster types (standard, hdv, dvcpro hd). once i get the files in i can transcode them to any flavor of DNxHD available, but that's a step i'd rather not deal with.
is this normal or a bug of some sort. tried looking around the forums for others in the same boat, but no joy.
thanks for the help.
If you're directly importing the HDV files they will always come in as native format.
i suppose given my results that makes sense, but why wouldn't it give you the option to do the transcode on import? for any other file brought in you can choose the resolution. am i thinking about these files in the wrong way?
