HI
Just now i entered in to the HDV world.Edited sequence ready and editing done in AXP5.7.I searched and read the forums , i didnt get exactly what i needed and i became more confused.
Client asking for SD DVD.Should i have to apply reformat 14:9 effect ? i got 16:9 letterbox out of it.Then change the project to PAL25i.or JUst 14:9 reormat effect and export as full hdv file and let my TMPGEnc do that SD DVD. or should i trancode to DNxHD after reformat effect.Which aspect ratio i have to choose while export and what colorspace 601 or RGB?
I AM FULL OF CONFUSION[:'(].sorry for this trouble. But its urgent. My client will be back on 15th.So i have 11 days left. Please suggest me a correct woekflow for this.IMP: I am not fluent in english.SORRY.
All you should have to do is to export your sequence as a QT references, import it into your DVD authoring program and flag it as 16 x 9 there.
For instance, in DVD studio Pro, you import the QT ref, check the box that says this track is 16 x 9 and burn.

Thank u so much for the quick reply. One more thing ....So i dont have to apply reformat effect?
1) From HDV timeline, export 1080i size 16:9 or 720x576 16:9 ?
2) Which color space should i choose, RGB?
3) When i bring 16:9 in TMPGEnc and let it out put for 16:9.What will happen, when i view it in 4:3tv ? Will it(DVD) automatically creat letterbox ?
Thanks in advance.
For DVD, you should export anamorphic and let your encoder do it's thing by setting the 16x9 flag. It should play back in proper aspect no matter what monitor is connected to a DVD player. So, yes... on a 4x3 monitor it should automatically letterbox. On a widescreen monitor it should be full 16x9.
