My problem is not huge but annoying.
I have tapes from a two camera shoot. Cameras were Gen locked so time code matches. Tapes from Cam "A" load in the Beta SP deck and show up in the Capture Tool as Drop Frame. Tapes from Cam "B" show up in Beta SP deck as Drop Frame but in capture tool as Non Drop. Any ideas as to why and how to fix would be a great help. I am using Avid Media Composer Adrenaline HD Ver 2.1.8
I've had the rare occurance of doing a digital cut, and the Avid telling me that the sequence is drop but the tape is non-drop, when the tape is actually drop. Just ejecting and reloading the tape fixes it. I wonder if the answer to your situation could be so simple?

Sadly no. First thing I tried was to eject and rename the tape. Still reads it as Non Drop Frame
If you put the tape in, hit play and let it "Look" at the code for a while... do you see drop or non-drop in the TC window? If the Capture tool sees the correct code, create a new tape name and delete the other one.

When I play the tape the TC window on the deck show DF. The TC window in the Capture Tool see NDF. The same things happens even after ejecting and reinsterting the tape.
was the tape preblacked before your shoot? if so, it may have different TC on the VITC vs the LTC.. We have issues when our linear editor edits to our digibeta and doesn't have the regenerate button pressed on the deck.. the editor puts different TC on the VITC.. if they both match, then I don't know :)
