i inherited a project that has an imported animation that appears to be drop-frame. how would an imported QT be drop-frame? how can i change it to non-drop?
The better question is why do you care? The only thing that matters is in what frame code your Master tape is output and, even then, only if you are going to broadcast.
Do you really want to know what's wrong...or do you just want me to fix it?

indulge me, please. does anyone know how an imported animation could or would show up in the avid with drop-frame? thanks.
Well, there are a couple of reasons. It could have been saved with drop frame for one.
However, without more information as to how the file was created and whether or not other QTs are doing the same thing, that will be just a guess.
General settings. Change : to ; or vice-versa.

general settings it is. thanks!
Also, to change the start time or time code base of an existing sequence, park on the record window and CTRL + I will bring up a dialog box allowing the change.
