I think you misunderstood what Todd wrote. I believe he meant that anything BEFORE ISIS 1.5 is not supported on Leopard. Not that it can be run ONLY on Leopard.

Ok, dumb question. What do I do with the HDPlasmaWipes folder and the SendtoDVDDTudioPro script in the Goodies download?
not to beat a dead horse, but from Todd's post...
"so customers needing to remain on Mac OSX 10.4.11 to support their editing workstations should not upgrade their shared storage."
That reads that ISIS 1.5 doesn't support Tiger.

I'm working on it... be patient... I'll have verification for you as soon as I can get it...

jdw was indeed correct. I've spoken with the ISIS team and thus updated the thread to reflect their information. Nice catch jdw.
I have installed 3.0.1 on tiger with all the specs in order. it worked well one day but today it won't even launch from either the dock or the applications folder. Any ideas????
Thank you
What changed... something had to... did you update any software? Is software update set to automatic? Did it do something in the background?
Tarek: running MC 3.0.1 on intel Mac with Mojo. No problems at all. Fast like nothing else
running MC 3.0.1 on intel Mac with Mojo. No problems at all. Fast like nothing else
I notice in your specs you are on OS 10.5.3, tho this MC release is supposed to run on 10.4.11.
Could this be why you have no Bus error problems???
Could this be a solution to everyone's pain?
Since upgrading to MC3.0.1 on 10.4.11 I'm getting crashes regularly. Not an improvement on the old 2.7.2 on 10.4.9, which was almost crash free!

I don't know. Avid says it doesn't run at all as there must be some change in the apple firewire protocol in 10.5. A lot of people confirmed it so there must be something. The thing is that the system is running great but I did get bus errors. Not often but it happened. But as soon as I disconnected the ext fw800 drives - I have a lot of them - mojo was working smooth again. Most of the time the ext fw800 drives work even well. The read me file of 3.01 is a bit confusing. At one place it says that this version is Tiger only in an other chapter it says that Mojo works with 3.01 on Leopard. I don't know what's that. It runs and so far this is the best avid I ever worked with. But I don't work on 8 core, I have a 2.8 intel quad core, and most of the complaints are coming from 8 core users. Again: I don't know
3.01 Was built for tiger but it's not Tiger only. Avid just didn't do a lot of testing with it on Leopard.
It's not that Leopard and the Mojo won't work together, it's just that, with the Mojo attached in Leopard, you WILL crash. A lot.
Almost all of us in Beta had the problem. I've read a few folks here who have not yet seen it but they're the lucky ones.
sorry. I can't confirm it. I had 2 crashes in a month. I wouldn't call it a LOT. xpress pro crashed more
I'm running 3.0.1 on systems 1 and 4 (see my specs for info). Both are very solid and except for a hickup when I shut down the MAc Pro system I get a bus error but nothing is lost ( one bus error while editing in a week and a half). Liking both systems with 3.0.1 on tiger......
I keep getting that same bus error. Only happens when I quit MC (but not all the time). I never seem to lose anything though. Other than that, 3.0.1 has been rock solid. I'm loving it
For those crashing while quitting MC, I'd like you to try the following. Remove the offending project from the projects folder. Launch Avid and create a new project with the exact same name. Quit Avid. Put all the bins you need from the old project into the new project. Trash everything else. Re-launch Avid. Does that fix it?
Will 3.01 run on a software only system 10.4.11 (MacBook Pro 17" 2.16)?
Thanks
