Did you run the versioner? The dongle dump is done by the Utility "Donagle Manager"... it's in the utilities folder. But you need to flash the dongle with the .avd file if you have not.
I have 2 questions, Will 3.01 Install on OSX 10.4.9?
and can you upgrade specefically to 10.4.11 or will it force a different version?
Thanks
10.4.11 is the last one of the Tiger evolution, no danger you`ll end up with 10.4.12!
Anyway, it`s always good practice to go to http://www.apple.com/support/download and get the Combo installer that will have all the right bits to update your system in the best possible way - much better than using the built-in Software Update.
Why would you want to stick to 10.4.9?
Thank you all for helping a brotha out! After I ran the dongle manager with the versioner everything came out fine. I just didn't realize I need to run the dongle updater. But now I know and knowing is half the battle. Yo Joe!

running MC 3.0.1 on intel Mac with Mojo. No problems at all. Fast like nothing else
Did I follow right?
...just read through the thread fast, but can't change until I wrap up two projects going on right now anyway. Just wondering if that's correct.
QT 7.4.5 is the supported version. IMHO you should lose the dual 2 G5... if it's a dual-core, you can squueze a little more life out of it.

thanks pierreh, just finishing a project with 10.4.9 and MC 2.7.2 (I think0 - but we use a lot of RED GIANT stuff, so even though we have 3.01 now, we'll stick with MC 2.8.3 (or whatever the last ver. was) untill we know Red Giant stuff works fine... Otherwise, its through After Effects.
Is 3.x That much better to just jump in it now in middle of proj? or should we wait until we're finished then install it?
3.0 has some nice improvements, but it's always "a little risky" to upgrade mid-project. If it were me, I'd pick up an extra hard derive, as they are real cheap, and do the clean install of the OS and MC v3.0 on that. If it works, you've got your old drive as a spare. If not, you can revert in about 30 seconds by plugging the old drive back in. Either way, it's nearly risk free.

HELP Please
I just started instaling 3.0.1 to my Tiger and I don't have an upgrade key since the last upgrade I did was from XPress Pro to MC 2.8. I qualified for the free upgrade to 3.0 but was never given a new Upgrade Key number. What should I do????
If you purchased 2.8 after March 17th, go to avid.com/protect. Fill in the info, receive your dongle updater and then use the Dongle manager application to updater your dongle to 3.0.
Do you really want to know what's wrong...or do you just want me to fix it?

Todd, where did you get the info in your first post? Wondering about the note about ISIS 1.5 being for Leopard clients ONLY. Are you sure about that?
We get that information directly from Avid support.
BLKDOG is correct... I drew up this post and then ran it past Avid Support. They added in the note about ISIS themselves.
Just spoke to Avid--ISIS 1.5 supports 10.4.11 clients on 2.8.3
