On my system it scanned 2x for each drive that it saw Avid media folders on. It did a total of 8 scans in my particular set up. Can you tell what drive is hanging up the scan process?
Rud One - Milwaukee, WI
Seems there is a problem with one of the drives which was causing it to hang at 98% of the OMFI mediafile folder on that drive. So I hid the media folder on that drive. Now when I drag a bin into the window, it scans all drives and then displays... nothing. Just like v.02!
Sorry, I don't know what to tell you at this point. There is an email address under the about on the program. Maybe an email to the authorr of the software might shed some light?
This is a statement I found on the website for the program, describing the fixes for the version.
v.03 build 23 June 2007
" working and stable - just a little bit slower than older builds. has no preview window. bin scanner works fine - just drag bin into projects window Store function - you may sift your files in a folder based on projectname Please report bugs via e-mail or _ICQ_104_450_117
Okay, my mistake. I was testing this with a couple of bins from an old project because I didn't want to cause any irreperable harm to my current project. But the old project is so old it has no media on any attached drives. Hence the scanning and then nothing to display, and rightly so.
Dragging a bin from my current project shows just what it is supposed to show, all media files associated with that bin. Dragging multiple bins shows all media files on all the selected bins.
RUD ONE, thanks for your perserverance.
My pleasure. We are all here to try to help each other.
