    How to make volume interpolations?

Hey dudes! I'm a newbie in the world of Avid, the proffesional video editing sofware. My question is very simple: How can I make customizable points for audio levels?
I've asked some of my friends but didn't come out with a clear answer.

This is my first time in the forum, i hope you'll help me!
    Thanks in advance.

You want to look up "Automation Gain" in the Help/Manual.  That will get you started.

Or the old "tried and true" method, make an Add Edit on the audio track, change the volume on one side of the cut with the Audio Mixer and then dissolve between the two clips.

From the timelines fast menu: Select Audio - Automation gain.
After that you can use the N button on the keyboard to make keyframes on the timeline to the selected tracks. You can drag the keyframes up and down (and sidewards) to change the audio level.

Re: How to make volume interpolations?

Thanks buddies! This works fine, but the problem is that all the points are moved together. It's like if they were chained. Does anybody knows how can I move keyframe points separately to change the audio levels?

    Thanks for all!

Magnify your timeline.  You have to be precisely on the keyframe to drag it.

To move a keyframe left or right ALT + drag it. Marking an in and out on specific keyframes allows for global adjustment of all keyframes within the marked region.

I'd like to thank all of you guys! This advice has my problem solved. The thing was to add in/out marks on specific keyframes.

    Thanks for all.

    God bless you,

Re: How to make volume interpolations?

    Hi Nico,

Just to clarify, if there are no in/out marks at all, you can move individual keyframes as described earlier in this thread.

If you set in/out marks and then try to move a keyframe that is between the in and out points, all the other keyframes that are between the in and out points will move as well.

    good luck,
    Carl
