I went forward with a Vista 64/MC 3 test ... – disconnected my WinXP drive and installed vista on a new drive, just encase I needed to go back to XP.
On Vista Business 64 bit, MC 3 test system I have video and audio with no problems via mojo. However, when I start MC3 with the 002r and attempt to play a clip with sound, I receive this error: “Exception ADM_ASIO_SEMA_DECREMENT_FAILED. Now, if I mute the audio tracks, the video plays back fine. ..any thoughts?
This is the same system that MC3 runs on via Win XP with no problems – Mojo with 002r. …good thing I installed Vista on a different drive.
Test System has 4 gigs of RAM.
Thanks in advance...
Vince
Hello,
I had the same problem. Reconnecting Mojo Word Clock out to D002 word clock in solved this problem.
InBeeld,
I have the mojo clk connected to the 002r. It has always been connected, otherwise it would not sync. Did you do something different? The mojo clk to 002r works fine on xp … just problems on vista64.
Thanks,
Hello Vince,
I am suffering the same problem. Could you ever find a solution to it?
While my avid software and hardware configuration works perfectly under Vista-32 Business, I do not get MC3.0.5, DIGI002 and Mojo working under Vista-64 Business on the same hardware.
1. With Vista-64 the Digi002 controller is not active, although it is shown in controller setting. Connected to DAE-plugin-startup is okay ("Run as Administrator" option)
2. sequence with audio activated:Attempted to playback, an "Exception: Adm_Asio_Sema_Decrement_Failed" error, no playbackI have tried different cables connected from clk out on my Mojo to sp/dif in on the Digi002. Each cable works on Vista 32 but not on Vista 64.
sequence with audio mute:Attempted to playback. Video playback on Mojo okay, no audio signalThanksErnst
From the knowledge base:
"Vista - No support for the Digi 002 and MediaComposer software on Vista at this time."
Appears to be OK on XP with MC3x according to article:

Would love to hear when this is sorted out by Avid - currently looking at either having a dual boot or having to keep a separate machine just to use ProTools and my Digi002 if I go the Vista64 path - which seems a tad ridiculous for 2 closely related products???
Vote 1 - Dongles.
search the digidesign site. There is a new version coming up (PT8) That can use Vista 32 bit NO support for Windows 64 bit!

You would think they could sort this out easily being part of the same organisation....
thinking that for a few years now, there is s improvement though... I have PT and MC running installed on one machine now for some time (before 3.0 actually). It will keep improving
I'm about to jump into the fun and install Vista 64-bit Business on my machine. I'll be running the latest Media Composer software with the original Mojo (no DIGI002). Does anyone have any knowledge if the original Mojo should work?

well read the system requierements, read the first post of this thread and you know at least one person is running this combination.
BTW... as digidesign says it doesnot support 002 on Vista B. 64, than it does not surprise me that this combination is giving problems.
Thanks, I did read that post but it is not clear to me if it is the original Mojo the poster was referring to. I realize AMC v3+ runs on Vista Business 64-bit according to the system requirements and testimonial here, but again, I was trying to get clarification if the original model Mojo would work.
The DIGI002 is not something I'm concerned with as I do not have one.
