Very stupid question but...

I have AXP 5.8 and want to upgrade to MC 3.0.  Which upgrade do I buy at the Avid Store? I don't see any upgrades at the Media Composer product page that is specifically labeled "MC 3.0 Upgrade from AXP".

I know the upgrade costs $495 so I'm assuming it's the only one on the product page listed at that price (Avid Media Composer Software v2.x to Avid Media Composer Software v3.0). Can someone pls let me know and I apologize in advance for such a stupid question.

Since you have Xpress Pro and you want to upgrade it you should click on the link that says Avid Xpress Upgrades on the left side of the Store page to find what you're looking for.

Just be aware of the difference in the upgrades. Only one gives you all the third party software which the other's don't.

The store is behaving weirdly today: I put the Xpress to MC update in my cart, and go to checkout. I enter all the info, and when the page "review your order" appears, the amount I'm about to pay doubles. Strange...

You sure you don't have two upgrades ordered there? Which upgrade is it?

Which XPRO to MC upgrade...the Download (282) or the full kit (353)?

I'm on the US store, trying to purchase from NY.

Looks like I need to use my US card for that. Just have to wait for the renewal of the card then...

Download. I'm going on holidays soon, not sure I'll receive the physical update in time - also my "green" side isn't crazy about the manuals that I probably won't use. Saves a tree... ;-)

be careful on the site.  I ended up buying the wrong version (the one for $395 without the bundled software).  Avid was kind enough to make the switch, but it was a pain in the neck with re-buying, re-funding, multiple emails and calls.  So make sure you have the right one for you.

Fine, I got one of the guys in my office to deal with that. Bought the physical kit in the end.
