I have searched thru the Community about this problem but have not found a really solution on the problem. Some says that it depends on Admin rights some on reinstalling Avid Composer 3. And some saids you need to format the machine. What I have tried to do is reinstalling Avid composer och I upgraded MC2.8 -> 3.0. But  I still get this message when I run Audio Suite. Can someone explain what DAE is and why can´t it not be found? Is it a solution WHy it can´t be found.

How is the Audio Suite built up on Avid? Is it bases on Pro Tools and is the embedde PRo Tools the problem? This is annoying problm when we cant use Audio Suite.....

Do you have Pro tools installed on the same system? If so, that's the problem as Pro tools' DAE drivers and Avid's conflict.

 We just had this issue on our machines at work.

Not on 3.0 but on our 2.8.3 when reinstalled and connected to interplay.

The tech guys sais it was a problem with rights. If you dont find the anwser, I can ask what those guys did to solve the problem.

I had the same problem and the Digidesign driver was missing, I have had to manually install it.

I had this problem with MC 3.0. You need to update a pace driver. Pace is the antipiracy software behind the ilock key, that is similar to the Avid dongle.

Just install and then reboot your machine and the DAE should connect.

This may be helpful for people running Win XP SP2 with MC 2.8.x and 3.0: install this MS hotfix, install or reinstall the DigiDesign driver, now DAE should work as expected. If You're running Win XP SP3 or Vista this is not the right spell for You, sorry about it.
