I've contacted my local reseller about upgrading my ExpressPro to MC soft …I guess I'll finally retire my old Meridian 9000 work horse. I mentioned to him that what I thought was uncharacteristically kind about this upgrade, was that I would still be able to run my XpressPro on my old 12' PowerBook. I mainly use it to edit LONG audio VO's because I prefer the work flow on the simple, yet almost daily, tasks I need to do in that arena. My reseller told me that since I have the old rainbow duo dongle, that I would have to get a new dongle and that the new one would NOT let me work with Xpress Pro. Any thoughts on this, or advice? Thanks!
I had a Rainbow duo and thought the same thing. Avid told me it would work, and it did. So, you should be good to go.
Good Luck
Andy

On a side note - you can also get a hefty trade-in value of your Meridian hardware going to the DX series.. believe it is only for Nitris DX.

I traded in an Adrenalne and a meridian. Got 16 K for the Adrenalne and 2.5 K for the Meridian. That was on two systems though, I gon't know if they'll take more than one trade in on a single system.
