    MC on Win XP64bit

I know it's not supported but I have a copy that's some two years old on the shelf and I would like to use it.Also if not are there any complications that anyone my think could arise?Such as Quicktime on 64bit or others....

Please I don't need a lecture just you're honest thoughts....

I'm formatting right now,Although the only worries I hold out are Quicktime I've read there are issues with 64bit.....

I also wonder how thw 3rd party apps will hold out, Like sorenson?

Re: Is anybody using Win XP 64bit & MC 3.0?

Yes I think the problem is that Quicktime will not run under a 64 bit XP. If you look in the DS Nitris forum, you will see more on this. Would be amazing if MC worked though, the RAM benefit alone would be worth it.

Vista 64 bit is supported. But remember that MC is still 32 bit, so it is still limited to 4GB of addressable memory. That is better than the old WXP 32 bit, which was limited around 2.5GB.

I have been using MC 3.0 on Vista 64bit since it came out and I have to say that it works great.

Sorry for wake up the topic, may I ask what GC is?

Is it some kind of file/setting in your OS to display/post your OS version. (Like ServerVersion.plist in OsX server 10.4, which stop you from installing iLive.) If so, how to Change it for my WinXp 64?

    Thank you.
