Hi I'm planing on converting my 720p 23.976 timeline to a 25p timeline to play out to a PAL deck and the easiest way I can think to do this without and extra frame being added is to export the film as an image sequence and then reimport it into the new timeline. When I test it it adjusts the length accordingly so every frame is there once. Now I just have to do the 4% shift on the audio before importing.
Is this a sensible process or is there an easier way? What's the best image setting to use? TIFF, PSD etc. and if I was to output to a HDCAM 1080 deck would I be better importing the images into the 1080 timeline or a 720 and have the upconversion done at the end? This image sequence method seems the most effective way of such a small frame rate convertion without other software required.
Any thoughts?
