    2.8 to 3.0 back to 2.8?

Sorry if this has been answered but I have heard a bunch of different things...

If I do my upgrade to 3.0 can I still use my Dongle on a 2.8 system?  I want to Upgrade to use 3.0 for Personal projects but I still need it to run 2.8 for Work...

I am assuming it will still work but I just want i dont screw myself!

    Thanks

    A

Just so you have double-double confirmation, yes you can still run 2.8.x with a v3 dongle. I'm doing it with one of my systems now.

    Re: 2.8 to 3.0 back to 2.8?

I called Avid yesterday with the exact same question and the answer was "once the dongle has been updated to run v.3, you cannot use it to run v.2.8 on another machine. My original plan was to run 3.0 on my Mac but leave 2.8 on PC. (It runs well on the PC as is and I would hate to screw that up!) So, you are saying that I can run 2.8 on 1 machine (PC) and 3.0 (MAC) with the same dongle?
