    Upgrade to M.C. 2.7 from AXP 5.6.4

    Here are my specs

    AXP 5.6.4

    Dual 1.8 Ghz PowerPC G5

    2 GB DDR SDRAM

    Mac OS 10.4.11

I want to upgrade to MC 2.7 (then eventually when I upgrade my OS to Leopard I will go to MC 3.0) but I only have a Dual 1.8 Ghz PowerPC G5.  I am concerned with my microprocessor speed.  I believe the spec sheets for MC 2.7 call for at least at 2.3 or 2.5 Ghz processor.  Has anyone done this with a 1.8 Ghz processor.  Also, I have an analog Mojo, will this work with MC 2.7 then MC 3.0

    Thanks,

    ckcccc

    Well, the Mojo will work...

If 5.6.4 is working OK than you probably won't see much difference in performance with 5.7 up to 5.8.3.  Doing HD is probably going to stress the system but if you just do SD DV or 14:1 you might be OK.  This is just theory, your actual mileage and experience may vary...

MacPro, MacBook Pro and a Cube. The Cube doesn't do much but it looks cool. [view my complete system specs]
Must think of something clever to go here...
