I'm starting a new thread because the last one I started began to lose me...
I just was able to copy several clips that were side by side on audio track 1 to audio track 2. Actually, in seg. mode I marked an in & out point of the segment on audio track 1; copied (to clipboard). Then I moved all those highlighted clips down to track 2. Then I pasted the orginal clip back onto track 1. Now when I try it I am unable to do any more than 1 clip at a time. I don't want to simply pan my single track to the middle. I want 2 tracks of the same audio (with all the keyframes I already put in).

Rather than moving the clips after you copy them - you can open the clipboard monitor and then paste the clips from the clipboard onto track 2 using the same in & out points - just make sure to turn off track 1 when you paste to track two.
You can mark an in to out region of your timeline and CTRL + ALT +c will load that material in your source monitor. You can then patch source tracks to record tracks any way you want. This is a great workaround for editing a portion of a sequence back into itself - something the software does not allow you to do directly. You never have to touch the clipboard.

Larry -
I marked an in/out point on the audio track & did a "ctrl/alt/c" but nothing loaded into the source monitor. I then tried it with the audio & video tracks turned on and still nothing loaded into the source monitor. Is this a "MAC" command?
Nope, but I believe the command is actually just alt+c.

Strange, because on my systems both ALT + c and CTRL + ALT + c work. I guess that's a DV Express quirk.
ALT + c brings up my clip menu
and CTRL + ALT + c bring up nothing.
Well the only explanation would appear to be this shortcut is just not available in DV Express. That's a shame because it's a real time-saver. A workaround would be to create a new sequence, use your existing sequence as a source and cross patch any way you want to.
Or use the clipboard monitor. It works the same as source monitor.
