on ds 8.4 i have 3 probleme

- i can not link video files... we have also 7.4 ds nitris and there no problem... i can work on Sd project and link HD video files... usefull when you have to resize (zoom on the image)

i don t know why on the latest version it dosen t want to link? when i right click on the file it dosen t propose to link... but if i have a still image like jpeg it works...

-On a Hd project i try to archive, it dosen t archive the media to tape. remote is ok... it dosen t propose the window with the timecode... only archive the project.

- when i try to capture , the image is purple... somethings wrong with the aquisition card?

output tool is working...

What is the format of the HD video files?  MXF? 

Try another project for archive.

Video is purple?  I would reseat the hardware. (aquisition card)

what do you mean MXF? it HD cam the resolution was DNxHD 185...

What about linking video files does ds8.4 do not linked video files, only photo?

Are you trying to Link to QuickTime files?  If yes, that option was indeed removed from the application because the audio sampling is causing a DS error. The safe method is to import QuickTime and DS can then resample the audio to make a legal file.

And you did click the Video option in the Archive panel?  And you are not trying to archive HD media while in a SD sequence or something that conflicts with your format?

It appears so.  Did you contact Avid Support to troubleshoot your hadrware?
