Unified thread for problems with MC3?

There seem to be a few threads running at the moment  which contain bits of information for those of us not having so much of a happy time with MC3.   I thought it might be worth having one thread where people could list the problems they are having with MC3, and possible solutions.

    My problems, so far, are

JVC 100 capture doesnt work, video and audio drift out of synch- this is one reason why click.

My graphics card may be another, its a Geforce 7950GT and as such is not qualified.  However, I can capture 1080i from a Z1 and that stays in synch and seems to be solid thorughout a 45 minute clip, so I guess the system is up to scratch.  25i projects all play ok as well.

I cant import files into a bin in a 720p25 project.  I can in 25i, and 1080i projects.

When I close Avid it almost closes down, but then I get an eerror tellign me there was problem wioth the application and it will have to close.  Any thing I was working in may be lost.  It asks if I want to send a report to Microsoft.   As far as I can tell everything is saved, but its a bit of a worry seeing that after a few hours of editing.

Re: Unified thread for problems with MC3?

After completely having to reinstall my entire system after what should have been a simple upgrade, I have opted to stay far away from this update.  It's just not enough of an update to go through all I had to go through with the errors and issues involved.  AVid dropped the ball big time on this one as you can clearly see from all the issues people are having.  Wouldn't it be nice if more research and testing was done instaed of just throwing out an update.  I'm tired of being a free beta tester.  I'm sticking with 2.8 until a real update comes out.  You'll know the real update by the small number of issues posted here, unlike the latest release.Stick out tongue

Re: Unified thread for problems with MC3?

I wasnt really trying to start a jump-on-avid thread,  I just have some problems that I dont know how to cure and wondered if others might want ot chip in.  (Forget the JVC problem - I've let it go.  For now.)

Anyone hazard a quess at why I cant imnportt anything into a bin in a 720p25 project?  Or why Avid crashes as it closes.?
