What size expresscard slot do I need to run the DX hardware on a laptop?
And can I assume that the hardware ships with both a pci-express card for a desktop workstation and also an expresscard-card for laptops in the same box?
Thanks
Hi,
If you look at the 'What's in the box' section under specifications it ships with just 1 pci epress card.
I am reasonably sure from memory if you look at the qualified systems uner specifications the M90 (I've got one too) only supports MC V3.0 up to Mojo SDI. Again I may be wrong but I don't think it will support either of the DX's.

The answer is yes, the Mojo DX will work with laptops... look at the approved list to see which laptops. Sasfrog is right about the M90 - but I notice that you do not ask about any, specific, laptop - even though you list an M90 in your specs.. you could go and get a new mobile station for this purpose.

Hi again,
Yes, i knew my m90 would not fit the bill. From what you said about there only being 1 pci express card included, does this mean I have to choose one or the other. I am thinking of having a mobile setup that i can then transfer to my office workstation. Would I be required to purchase 2 Mojo DX's???
All it says under hardware included in relation to PCS is:
'PCIe Host Interface Board'
I don't imagine you will need Mojo DX's but you will need two boards. Whether you get to choose the type of board in the box is any ones guess mine is you won't and it will come with one for a workstation.
I may be wrong.
Can and Avid person answer the question we have here:
Does MojoDX come with a PCI-express board for both desktop and laptop? If not, how can we get both?
HI all,
I am still waiting for a response to this. If anyone knows if the DX hardware comes with both an adapter/connector for desktops and well as laptops, that would be good to know. Those that have purchased DX hardware, did it come with both? Did your reseller ask you which one you wanted, etc.?
On qualified laptops you need the docking station for it in order to get eh PCI-e card installed.

I believe on a laptop you are looking for an ExpressCard/34 slot.

I guess I am being told it is NOT an expresscard slot device. I would have to get the $300 dollar docking station that accepts half-height PCI cards.
