$395 ... MC pre-2.7 to 3.0, Download, no 3rd party apps, specifies "Not for MC Adenaline"

$495 ... MC 2.0+ to 3.0, boxed, with 3rd party apps, no mention of MC Adrenaline applicability

Here are the part #'s for 2.8 to 3.0.  MC Soft or Adrenaline users can order either:

7510-30011-01 - Upgrade Avid Media Composer Software v2.x to version 3.x with Docs and 3rd Party Apps                                                    $495 (US MSRP)

Sure it does. It's the first upgrade down on the list. The upgrade from 2.7 refers the the Dongle. Dongles upgraded to 2.7 ran 2.7.0 thru 2.8.3.
