    Red one work flow on avid ds nitris

     ok Yesterday I was working with media generated on a red one camera recorded at 4k 23.97fps, i have to download a software called red cine and conver every frame on dpx to import in my ds nitris, i have tried to convert in qt whit avid codex but the transfer its so slow, if any body can says any more about this workflow please write a post.... sorry for my basic english thanks

    check on reduser.net - go to 4K workflow and then Avid workflow. 

    MichaelP has a beta tool that sounds pretty cool - it is the first post right now.  There is also the metacheater route.  Are you Windows or Mac based?  If you are MAC you can use RED ALERT and I *think* that is easier than the REDCINE route.

    that post with the xml solution from MichaelP on reduser.net works for a PC workflow I think.

    I've got a RED project coming up and am probably just going to purchase a Macbook Pro to simplify the workflow while RED / Avid smooth things out.  The Macbook will let you use metacheater, convert the stuff and then cut on your normal Windows workstation.
