Hello - This may be a really stupid question, but I can't figure this out...
Once you create a log of several clips in MCA, how do you edit the in and out points and re-target the drive it's suppose to load to. In Discreet this is really easy, I can't figure it out in Avid. Thanks in advance.

You can change the drive in your capture tool or media creation settings. I believe you can edit the out and in points by highlighting them and typing over - but I may have that wrong as I'm not sitting in front of composer atm. You may have to use the modify functions on the clip.

Hi,
I thought so, too, but I just tried it on a Symphony Meridien and no matter which way I tried to modify the start time (typing in a new time in the bin, modifying timecode by field, modifying by increment start or end time), the end timecode changed as well. Hopefully somebody will chime in with a way to change the start time without changing the end time.
adios,Carl

OK thanks, yeah you can change the "in", but it ripples the "out", so you have to manually change your out to the original setting (assuming you didn't want to change the out). But I can't seem to edit the tracks, say you selected A1,A2 and then decided you didn't want the audio. Is there a way to edit the track selections?
And then yeah, I tried to force the desered drive via the media creation tool, But when it goes to capture it reverts to the drive that it was logged too. I can't seem to tell it to go to another drive without starting over again.
On Discreet you can select "edit log" and change anything you want lickity split and then "re-log".

Sure. Just go to CLIP>MODIFY.
Do you really want to know what's wrong...or do you just want me to fix it?

Awww soooo, I looked at that, but the "set time code by field" is the default and I never opened up the drop down menu. Thanks so much!!!!
