Sometimes when i try to playback video on a sequence the composer window blinks a silver bevel around the outside of the window and proceeds to only play the audio. Usually I just restart the program and it works fine. Does the computer just not have enought resources to playback the video?
Think for yourself... but take heed of those you have thought before you.
Hi,
Usually the blinking frame means the composer window is a bit out of position. Press CTRL+' (the apostrophe key) or select the Home command from the Windows menu to put it back.
good luck,Carl

And make sure you don't have even a tiny sliver of a tool or bin window encroaching into the composer monitor space, overlapping the source/record monitors window.

Thank you! Next time it happens I will try these out. I have a feeling that it is the window over the window.
Thanks guys
Mike
You're welcome, Mike. We're here to help.
It makes you wonder why they can't just make it so that Avid automatically shoves anything overlapping the window out of the way when trying to play video.
