I am not really sure what I did to deserve this... but it inhibits me from using the audio suite.
Think for yourself... but take heed of those you have thought before you.
The most applicable definition in this case seems to be "something cut short or arrested in development". This would lead me to believe that a critical component of the DAE plugin is missing. Is this project specific or not? If it is project specific, I would trash the "(project name)settings.avs" file - it may have become corrupted. Also, trash MC State, Site_Settings, Site_Attributes. On re-launch, the system will detect the missing files and build new ones. If none of this works, I would suggest a re-install may be in order.

This ended up being across the entire program. I may have accidentally done something. I realize that 86 percent of my problems are usually self inflicted. I tried to save it but in the end a re install will have to do. Thanks for you help again. I appreciate you helping someone who is not as far along in this Avid world. I am sure I will be back.
Mike
Did you recently upgrade software and/or create a limited user logon? We took a big jump from v2.1.8 to v2.7.5 and I'm not sure exactly when this got into the software, but it's in the Compatibilty section in the readme:
If you are a non-administrator and you want to launch AudioSuite Plug-Ins, perform thefollowing:1. Install the Avid Editing application. During the installation, an AvidUsers group isautomatically created.2. Have your administrator make you a member of the AvidUsers group. Then you canaccess the AudioSuite Plug-Ins when logging in as a non administrator.
Well I actually started with 2.7.5. I have been using avid for well... about 6 months now. I use my own computer so I am the administrator. I feel like I have come a long way in these 6 months mainly because of this site. The University that I attend has 3 Avid machines but none of our professors know how to use them... what a waste. So I have been tutoring the kids at my University. I have editted mainly in Premiere and FCP but now that I understand Avid I will not go back.
Thanks for your help but I just re installed the program and I was up and running in about 15 min.
Glad to hear you're up and running again, Mike.
