Hi All,
I just wanted to know of a simple way of configuring Avid Unity to work with user names in a classroom environment.
The problem we had before is there were generic usernames (ex. avid1, avid2, etc.)
However everyone decided to use the same username and it caused conflicts.
I would assume since our machines are not connected to a network login that we would use different usernames in connection manager and be able to allocate space, but I am fairly new to Unity so any help is appreciated.
Please let me know if more information is needed.

You can use the Administration Tool to create user names for each client. Then just grant read/write privledges. Log each system on with their unique user name with the connection manager.
I guess each student can have their own partition on the unity that only they can write to. Perhaps you can have one general partition that all students can read from, so they can grab material from there.

Sinistar6:... everyone decided to use the same username and it caused conflicts.
Also make sure to make the SAME users in windows server.
