    Capturing cut off time

    I have been dealing with this for a while but since discovering this resource I think I may finally be able to solve this problem.

    Whenever I capture over 30 min in a segment the capture tool cuts off. It will not let me capture over 30min of video. I have been searching for this occourance. If you could please shed some light on this subject.

     In your user settings under capture, choose the media tab and you can enter a new capture time value beyond 30 minutes.

    will capturing video this long have any effect on performance?

     No, I have not experienced any performance issues and I've digged as much as 90 minutes at a time.
