Simple newbie question: BCC Color Match

As the subject says, I'm trying to use the BCC Color Match. I've placed the clip I want to match to on V1 and the clip to be matched on V2, and put the BCC Color Match on V2. According to the documentation, I can use Geometrics to show the clip on V1 in a split-screen with V2 so I can sample the colors etc. However, when I use the Crop Left (or Right) and set it to 50%, I end up with black fill and not the underlying clip. Obviously I'm doing something wrong, but I can't tell what.

Next, once I can see both clips, I take it I need to sample the clip in V1. How exactly do I do this? In other words, what's the proper way of using this filter? Ultimately I need to use both clips in multicam so I can cut between them.

    Thanks.

Re: Simple newbie question: BCC Color Match

I figured it out. In Liquid, the track below is the one that's physically below the source track regardless of the track label (i.e. it doesn't matter if it's V1 above V2 or V2 above V1). And with MC, the track below means numerically below, so if V1 is above V2 and you're trying to look at the track below V1, there is no track so you get black fill.
