I am making feature films for theatres. Most of the projects are in 1080p 25 format. Sometimes people prefer to shoot in 1080p 24. When I need to record my 24p hd project via my DVD recorder, I can NOT get a 25i PAL signal through the composite output on my Adrenaline box (which is quite normal). Anyone know a way to convert a 24 hd video to 25 PAL without exporting QT and importing to a 25i PAL project. Because it loses quality and takes too much time.
Thanx
In the Format tab, switch the Project to PAL 24p. Then you will no longer have HD monitoring, but you will have an SD output that is 24p-with-pulldown over 25i (actually 50i). In Film Settings, check your edit play rate, since that tends to default to 25fps, which speeds everything up.
Also, once switched to PAL 24p, you'll have the option to do a Digital Cut at either 24fps or 25fps, both of which will give you a signal your DVD recorder will be able to record. If it's for reviews, stick to 24fps (00% speed). If it is for broadcast or VFX, choose 25fps, since they won't want the pulldown.
Thank you, I will try that immediately.
