Can talk you through AvidFX if you need...
Yes, Please!
- Just drop a, 'Avid FX 1 Input' onto your clip and open the Effects Editor.
- In your Comp window, you'll see a Layer called 'Video1'. Click on the last icon on this Layer (V1) and a drop-down menu appears. Select 'Still Image File'. Navigate to your hi-res image and load. Now use your Position controls and keyframe away.
- Be careful, the keyframes don't work identically to the way they do in the Avid, so you might need to experiment a little (i.e. although you can 'copy' a keyframe, you can't paste... Have no idea why).
- Also, to avoid any fine-line aliasing on the final product, go into EDIT Menu > Project Settings... and turn on '1:2:1 Deflickering'.
Hope this helps, like I said, can be 'quirky' but does the job...
Ra-ey Q: "How many Editors does it take to change a lightbulb?" A: "Why do you want to change it?"
