Thought I understood how to custom set my project and interface settings, but everytime I close down and open up a project again the next day it omits many of my custom settings - this is particularly the case for the buttons I drag from the command palette to the composer windows - you know the handy ones for 'find bin', 'add marker', 'create slo mo' etc. Every time I open up with my "saved" user setting they are gone? I've updated the workspace and saved my user profile (although it does say 'no new settings were added to your user profile'). I guess this is as it autosaves? Where am I going wrong here?
Thx

Hey D;
Does the same thing happen with toolset profiles? This is really strange. Have you tried dragging just about all your user settings into the site settings window?

Hi Larry - this IS odd!!!
Toolsets save ok. It's just the buttons under the composer windows. I just opened the last one I saved last night - it seemed to have kept the 'make slo-mo' button I ventured to add. So I added some more and went 'update user profile'; all the new buttons dissapeared, and I was just left with my lonely custom slo mo button.
I havent done site settings yet (thoroughly confused on those after going from MC to Xpress and now back to MC) they were very odd in Xpress!
I've just tried manually updating workspace setting again, and my easily recognisable 'Whitney Houston' user setting may be actually saving. God bless her! I also ticked - 'link settings by name' which would have seemed to be a given!
Cheers
Yes, at this point, I would definitely rebuild site settings. The files you want to delete are: MC State, Site_Settings, Site_Attributes. Also, try creating a brand new user profile and try it there.
Thanks for the input Larry - it could well have been the 'link settings by name' tick box. Just loading your user profile didnt quite cut it on its own
