Since the last posts I've been able to find with Search are about a year old, what's the situation with this? Does Redcine still not pass timecode to the QT files? Is there a completely PC based workflow for dealing with offline/online editing and the Red?

Michael P from Avid has come up with a workflow for Red, this is as of April 2008
Check it out:

Thanks for the pointer, but I'm afraid it still doesn't help. This requires RedAlert, which only runs on the Mac. RedCine runs on the PC, and unless there's a version update out there that I haven't found, it doesn't incorporate the timecode into the QT file (so there's nothing there for Metacheater to extract).
Ok, you might be better off checking out the Avid forum on the red user site.

Failing that maybe put in a question to Michael P here on the 24P forum.
Let us know how you go as i'm sure others will be keen to know if you find a way around this on PC.
Good luck!
Matt
OK thanks. I went over to the forums and found a couple of possible workflows. Thanks.
