I have been struggling with this for a while now.
Does anybody know of a simple way to get a QT ref or QT encoded to flash, .FLV? I have used squeeze but the audio comes out mashed. The only options for audio are uncompressed and 11Khz to 44.1 sample rates. SWF is fine but my clients always ask for FLV. I'd rather not have to buy Flash.
Any wisdom?
regards
well, for .flv for the web, a tricky little secret is to output a beautiful H.264 QT and change the suffix to .flv.
No, really. the latest iteration of Adobe's Flash Player can play the H.264 codec. Try it!
Really? Seriously? Thats it? Thats awesome! I love you guys!!!!
Apparently that was NOT it. My advice, just download Flash. You can get a trial from Adobe's website if you don't already have one. This change the suffix thing did NOT work.
