    Failed to initialize audio harware!

Hi, I've installed Xpress Pro 5.8, when I play the program it says "Failed to initialize audio harware", then it closes.

I'd like to know what is the problem. Is there any drivers? I've got Realtek HD hardware...

And I've disconnected my webcam, I know it can getting me some problems.

Firstly Avid runned without audio, but now says that.

    Thanks very much!

Re: Failed to initialize audio harware!

Based on other forums about the same topic, I think it's pretty safe to say that Realtek and Avid don't work well together.

Try searching the forums for other solutions people may have used, or do the easy thing: buy a cheap Soundblaster sound card from Wal-mart and try that.

    Hope this helps!

I had the same problem as you have. And just click on audio settings and all working.

I can navigate you to try the same. Call 0044 (0) 1303 813505.

    Hope I can help.
