HI All
Can anyone tell me which is the first Xpress pro version that runs the camera sources real time. I know 5.8 (newest and last ) does but do any before this?
From my own use, it was working for me in version 4.x. Either 4.1.1 or 4.6, I can't remember when I upgraded. Perhaps 4.6. So could have been since the beginning of version 4.
Thats interesting Puddy. The manual says that the images are stills and are updated on stop. That was the case on rthe manual for a ver 4.6 I used last week. They run "live real time" only when you scrub the timeline according the the maual and my experience on the computer.
So you had multiscreen cameras (2 or more) running real time?
Peter
Am going from memory, and what I remember was that there was no headache, so I'm sure it was playing fine. I think it took me about half an hour to get up to speed at the start and get it to do what I wanted but in the end it was fine. It's not as straightforward as Premiere's click on the window's method but it was more like a vision mixer and I pushed buttons for each track I think. Also I think the monitor could only show four video tracks maximum but the rest are stills, so that might be what you're reading.
Otherwise, I don't really remember exactly, other than it worked fine.
Are you still on an earlier version and want to do multicam?
HI Puddy
I do want to be able to do realtime playing with multicam. Im on an earlier version at preent but need to upgrade. Im just trying to get my head around exactly what i need to upgrade to in terms of HDV, multicam real time playing and system specs before i buy anything.
Cheers
