Is there any way, other that through one of the client machines, to transcode and consolidate media on Unity. A novice editor has captured about 8 hours of media to an MC soft's local storage that should have been on a Unity workspace. Somewhere else someone has filled up a workspace with 1:1 that I need to transcode to 2:1 or lower now to create some breathing room.
I realize that I need to consolidate from the client machine in the case of the local storage, but I would prefer not to have to tie up one of the Avids everytime I have to fix something like this. Is there any way of moving or deleting project specific media other that through one of the clients?
Using Unity MediaNetwork 5.0.1
Sorry man, the best way and only way that i know of is through a client. Id make the person who digitized it at the wrong res stay late and fix it!
Yeah, I'm tempted. But the poor guy is being "converted" back from the dark side, having been trained on fcp only...my opportunity to win one over for the good guys
Yes there is, and it would require interplay with Interplay transcode.
Yes, it's pricey.
