Timeline and source record monitors dissapear when resizing

I just recently re-formated my computer and re-isntalled MC 2.8.3. Now when I open avid and try top resize my timeline and my preview windows they disappear. When I re-open avid, or click 'source record editing', they re-appear, but in the old, un-workable size. When I try and adjust the size, they disappear again. Im hoping this is a simple setting that I have to change, but im having no luck. Can anyone provide any insight on this annoying problem?

    Thanks!

Does it happen in all users?  Have you tried creating a new Avid user?

Avid on the PC  must have the left monitor set as the Primary (1) at the OS level (Display Properties). Make sure you have it that way.
