Sad [:(] can't see deck that are connected to Mojo

     Hi

I work with Avid Xpress Pro 5.5 and the pc is Xw8200
now i have purchase a new Mojo the old one not the SDI
    and it works fine
i have on my computer one more FW card and if i connect my Mojo to this card and my deck to the onboard card all work fine but i want to add all the new option that you have with the mojo so i have purchase a 4 to 4 FW cable to connect my deck DSR-11 PAL to the mojo
and i did it but i can't config it in the Avid as it don't show my deck as for control but i also not getting any video to the pc >

i have try all the config that i can think of still it will not work
are there any bug in 5.5 that may cause it
i have order the upgrade to the MC so i will move to it as soon as i will get it still i will like for this to work in Xpress Pro

     Tamir:

First, we have found that our DNA Adrenaline boxes need to be connected to the FW port on the motherboard to work properly, you might want to try that with your Mojo. Also, be advised that firewire connections do not work reliably through any kind of a hub connector - each needs it's own individual port - don't know if this is an issue for you, but wanted to give you that info.  Regarding configuring the deck, if you go to configure the deck manually, do you have a firewire channel created when you look at the deck configuration window?  If not, you need to click "add channel" and create one. Then add deck, and if you can't find your specific make and model, use the generic device profile.

Re: can't see deck that are connected to Mojo

    thanks for you answer

but this is not my case as i can config the deck in avid as it can be over the FW or as connected to the mojo still avid will not give me the option to control the deck and it will not show any video on the pc,

and yes it is connected to the onboard fw port.

after a long search on the forum i have found and issue that may Be related as people has reported that if a deck is connected by the mojo you can't control it .
still it will be ok but way don't i get any video signal.

and the lamp on the mojo show that DV is on so it get the input but i don't see the output it in AVID

depending on the deck it works as it should. Configure the deck to be attached to the firewire port on DNA in the deck config. Delete all other firewire deck templates.
