I've been having some issues while working with Avid's DS 7.6 Training Edition. I honestly don't know how much is me and how much is the program/installation. I have removed KB 908531 and reinstalled DS; these steps seem to have helped. But there is still odd behavior.

For example, the project list is blank, even if I refresh the root. So each time I start DS, I have to ceate a new project. But once a new project is created, when I choose File... Open... New Project, my other projects appear.

I get "media not available" or "media needs processing" messages when importing DV and HDV AFE's from Xpress Pro 5.8.3. I've checked the DS project settings and have asked to find a best match if the specifications don't equal exactly. I was abe to capture a .mov file, it's a start ;).

So while I toil away trying to figure this all out, what would be very helpful for me would be a small 7.6 compatible DS project open on my computer and look at. Nothing fancy, just something to serve as training wheels for awhile.

So are there any kind souls willing to give up a not so beloved project for a good cause? THANKS MUCH. (Of course I agree to only use the project for learning purposes and not use or disseminate it or its footage.)
