Normal upgrade price is $199. But if you have version 4.5 you pay $99.95 instead of $199.

                    We've had terrible bugs, crashes, and general instability with Sorensen Squeeze. Our Sorensen Squeeze is now stable and working properly with the advent of upgrade patch 4.5.7. Sorensen doesn't like certain versions of the Nvidia drivers for the FX 1500 M graphics card (We found out much to our long standing misery). We found version 4.5.x was a great improvement over strange snap, crackle, and pop audio anomalies in ver 4.3.x (A known bug stated on Sorensen's web site) and illiminated if you went up to ver 4.5.x. When this program is fully functioning, the resulting encode quality is very high. If you do a high data rate MPEG 2 encode for network delivery, then the resulting quality is truly phenominal ! We would like to see an improvement in encoding speed.

How come upgrading from the Avid compression suite to the Pro version is priced so differently for Mac (429) vs Windows (249)?

I got it yesterday for $99.95. First you have to register, and than use your version 4.5 serial number in provided space. Later on you have to complete the application, next when you advance to the next page, you have to provide the user name and the pass code. later on you will get the email like the one bellow.

I got  Sorensen Squeeze 5.0 for $99.00 not the pro version.
