I am shortly going to be cutting a project that will be shot on a mixture of P2 progressive footage and Z1 HDV footage. The project will be end up at SD at the end of the day and I'm not sure how to go about importing/digitising/downconverting everything. Two questions: 1) Is there an HD project setting that would handle the P2 progressive and Z1 HDV material? 2) If I want to cut the project at SD, how can I get the P2 progressive material into an SD project? Thanks in advance for your help.

Are you working in the PAL or NTSC world? What is the exact specified media type recorded by the P2 cam?

What is the recorded format, 1080/50i or 720/25p? Even if the chip is set to record progressively, they could still record their footage as 1080/50i, and you should have no trouble integrating both that and the HDV footage in a 50i HD project. If both the P2 and the HDV are doing 720, you may have a whole different set of issues. I've sort of tried to stay away from 720.
