I do not have a clue what I am doing wrong. I cannot get a good quick time movie export. I have to export a couple clips to a CD that will be posted on a website. When I export the clips the audio is messed up.
I am selecting the Sequence in the bin and then right clicking "Export". I then export it as a quick time movie to "My Documents". When I play the clip it does not playback correctly.
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks,
Field
Instead of using one of the generic profiles, load the "untitled" one and then select "custom". Now you can design your own profile and try various options until you are satisfied with the end result

Just export a QT reference from Avid. To do this, right click on the sequence, choose export. Make sure you open the advanced options window from there. In the top options tab, choose Quicktime Reference. Then set it to mix down audio and video, and make sure the "Use Avid DV Codec" is checked. Set it to output an audio file of your choice (whatever your preference) and voila! - you've got a small file with your whole sequence in it. (Note: this is just a reference file and cannot be used on another system. Read below to find out what's next.)
If that file plays correctly, open it up in a video encoder like Sorenson Squeeze - I use the free MPEG Streamclip - and convert it to a Quicktime file customized with your preferences. You can select the codecs you want, frame size, compression, etc.
Hope this helps!
