New AVID products bundled with other equipment - purchasing strategy

I'm posting this thread in hopes of understanding how AVID users operate in a business sense. I understand these forums are moderated by AVID, and would appreciate their insight as well. What options are used to bring the latest software and equipment technology to the user - will AVID provide financing for bundled peripheral equipment? If not, where do people normally go? Is the process difficult? Are there opportunities for improvement in bringing solutions to the AVID user communities?

I would be very interested to read any feedback - thanks!Smile

AFS, Avid Financial Services, can provide equipement leasing.  It is funded by GE Capital.  There are also many other equipment leasing companies, and, you can also get bank financing if your business justifies it.

    Media Composer 3.0 w/Mojo (analog), HP xw8400, 1xQC 3.0GHz, 4GB RAM, FX 3700, 500GB Boot, 1 x 1TB & 1 x 500GB internal SATA media drives, 3-Ware 9690SA... [view my complete system specs]

Thanks for the info. I've heard, there are times when Avid Financial Services cannot lend due to credit issues, non-Avid equipment, or engagement outside the traditional post production environment. I assume this is where you would turn to equipment leasing companies rather than a bank. What would be the common avenue to find a leasing company - is it typically a referral, cold calls, advertisement, or?
