I've been trying to export this 20min short movie of mine...and it's not working...I've tried many, many different ways to do this....I've right-clicked the sequence video, and gone to 'send to' QT Movie and 'Export' QT Movie....I want it to be a single Quicktime video file, with the audio in it..I don't want a reference file, because i want to give this movie to other people, so they could play it on their computers...I keep getting the same error messages...WHen I go to EXPORT it goes up to 99% and then stops with this error
"AudioSampMoveHelper::GetSomeSRcovertedSamplesToReturn() CONSISTENCY CHECK FAILURE !?! [22186]"
When I go to "Send To' QT Movie it goes up to 99% and this error comes up
"An error has occurred while performing Send to Export see the console for more information"
I've tried it with Sorenson squeeze to QT, I've tried Sorenson squeeze 'encode for DVD' I've tried almost everything, and either one of those error messages keep coming up.. If anybody can help I would greatly appreciate it, because i need this film to go out for the film festival in my school,, Thanks,
-Ross
First, what version of QT and what version of XpressPro are you using?

I do this all the time with no problems at all. And, so do many others. Meanwhile, unless you give us your complete system specs, we're not going to able to offer any assistance. We need detailed information about your system, OS, video card, drivers, versions of Avid, QT, source drive, target drive, etc.
"Saving the world, one Avid at a time"
Quicktime 7.4.5
avid xpress pro v 5.6.3
QT 7.4.5 is not supported, as detailed in the ReadMe file that acompanied your Avid software, and is also listed in this compatibility matrix:
http://tinyurl.com/49rn6b
QT 7.1 is recommended.
r055t: Quicktime 7.4.5 avid xpress pro v 5.6.3
That version of QT is not qualified or supported for that version of XpressPro. According to the version matrix you need QT 7.1 also, I don't see 5.6.3 there... is that the version they pulled shortly after it was released?
In fact, QT 7.4.5 is not supported for "any" version of an Avid product at this time. And, to summarize, Avid had little to do with making things difficult .... :)
I have other video programs such as VLC Media player, Should I download the correct version of Quicktime ? will that help export it correctly ? ,,, I don't understand, if I have the right version of Quicktime, will that help it export correctly...also, I was able to export it but it cannot work on other peoples computers...only mine...
Should I download the correct version of Quicktime ?
Yes. The version you're running is not supported
... will that help export it correctly ?
Yes, most likely
... if I have the right version of Quicktime, will that help it export correctly
My system specs are:
Windows XP media center edition 2002 service pack 2 .. Gateway intel core 2 cpu (core 2 duo) T5500 @ 1.66GHz 2GB of Ram Video card = mobile intel 945GM 128MB
Okay, I downloaded the correct version of Quicktime player.. which is 7.1.6 I hope.. I did the exporting as I tried many times...I right clicked, went to export and then under options,I clicked QT-Movie...then I did it again using "Sorenson Squeeze" and then options-QT-Movie...Still same error message came up .. "AudioSampMoveHelper::GetSomeSRcovertedSamplesToReturn() CONSISTENCY CHECK FAILURE !?! [22186]"Which is the easiest way to export your sequence? ... are the "Send to" and "export" options essentially the same thing? .. or are they different...This is the first time I am exporting something on AVID, At work, we usually just have it hooked up to a DVD-Recorded and just hit play on avid, and record on the dvd player..and that's it..but I have AVID on my own personal laptop now, and I would just like to export my own project as a video file...
I have tried to export as a MP4 File and this error message comes up:
"Exception: Movie export from procedures FAILED! errcode - 2034"
I have tried to export as an AVI file as well, and no luck..any suggestions ?....
Also, is it possible to just put the sequence straight on DVD ? .. I have a dvd burner on my laptop, but I just don't know how I would go about doing this,,Thank you,-Ross
r055t:I downloaded the correct version of Quicktime player.. which is 7.1.6 I hope
Hi Ross,
No, the correct version of Quicktime for your system, according to the Version Matrix that Randall linked to above, is 7.1, not 7.1.6. The first thing I'd do is get the correct version of Quicktime loaded.
The second thing I'd do is try exporting a Quicktime reference movie by going to the File menu and selecting Export instead of the Send To method. If that works, you can take the resulting Quicktime reference movie into Sorensen and make a DVD (or any kind of web file if that's what you want) that way.
Although Send To should make for an easier workflow, it's more for the machine to think about. Going via File>Export is less elegant but simpler.

Unfortunately, no. You'd need a standalone DVD recorder like you have at work.
good luck,Carl
There is no such thing as a video emergency. My Demo Website
ok..I downloaded the correct version of QT 7.1 .... and it's still not working...the same error message keeps coming up "consistency check failure" ..... it goes up to 99% and then the error message comes up....what do I do ? .... I just need this sequence as a video file,,,I don't care what type of file it is, just as long as other people can watch it on Youtube or if I gave them the file itself..
Thanks,-Ross
Does the error happen using Send To or File>Export? Or both?
I have tried both 'send to' and 'export' and an error message comes up both times..I've tried a Quicktime Reference file,, AVI file, MP4 file,, and still it keeps going to 99% and then error...Thanks-Ross
