Hi everyone - exactly as the title says - installed media net file manager instead of Lanshare file manager on a lanshareLP system. Message errror that comes up when it tries to import file system is "250,000 files and 10,000 directories, not enough memory, 6952 (or something like that) current memory only supports 6050GB ."
I've rolled it back to the correct version but same error when validating... it seems like it wants to work as all the files and everythign come up in the monitor tool but it keeps failing at that last stage of validating files...
Any help greatly appreciated...
Personally, I'd re-image the system. Do you have the Avid Product Recovery Disks? Run those, and you're back to a clean system.

Thanks Randall - that fixed it.
I had a guy from Avid here and we tried altering a few registry settings but in the end he resigned himself to re-imaging the system. It seems once you install you cannot uninstall...
Same thing applies to accidently installing file manager on a Client system Once you put it in, you must wipe the OS of the system.

Good to hear. The advanatge with re-imaging, is you "know" you have a healthy system. With any other fixes, you're kinda guessing. I like to eliminate all the variables I can.
