I'm using G5/2.7 GHz and just upgraded from Xpro 4.6 to MC 2.8.3 (with OS 10.4.11). But when I tried to capture to my media drive (the second harddisk inside the CPU) I got this error message "Exception: Operation not supported, filename:creating1". And it kept showing until I closed the capture tool. But when I chose to capture to Macintosh Disk (system drive) it worked fine.
My media drive is FAT32 format which I'd been using with my XPro earlier while my Macintosh disk is Macintosh Extended Journal format.
So I'm wondering if this version of MC doesn't support FAT32? (But I can relink my old projects to the remain media stored in the drive)
Thanks, guys.
How big are the partitions on the drive ?
I hate television. I hate it as much as I hate peanuts. But I can't stop eating peanuts.

this is a bug that has not been fixed jet:

You have got to use a older version of Xpress/ MediaComposer or you need to use os formated drives (Mac OS/ Extended). Or copy the files from your fat32 disk to any other OS formated disk (maybe you have some space on any other attatched hard drive).
Hopefully it will be fixed in 3.0 because I use fat32-disks as well to switch between pc and mac.
This is a current bug in the software. Any drive formatted for PC will return this error.

There is a great programs which allows NTFS drives to be read/write on the mac. It is absolutely flawless.
