Hey All- Im running Xpress Pro V. 4.8.4.3 on a G4 933MHZ. I havent pugraded to MC, since it wont run well on my G4. Would MC run efficiently on a new imac 3.6 GHZ Intel Core Duo with 2GB memory and a Nvidia Geforce 8800 512mhz video card? I cant afford a new tower, so this may be a feasable option... Thanks Brian

The problem with that is the NVIDEA 8800 in that box. There are no drivers for it in Tiger.

If I buy Media composer for my new iMac, will it work?

These look like the same specs I'm working with.  If you have the ATI card, you should be good.  You just need to update some drivers if it will be running on Leopard.
