I'm running MC 2.71 and not getting my Sony HVR-M15U to recognize. Windows recognizes the deck and I can see playback using Windows MediaMaker, but even when manually setting the deck protocol in 'Deck Config'  it won't recognize.

I'm not using a Mojo or any interface, just firewire in and the digitizing tool and sequence settings are set to 1394.

Any thoughts?

Under the "Deck Configuration" setting and Channels, you are using OHCI, correct?

yes, using OHCI.

I've used the same model deck on an Xpress Pro / Mac Pro machine. Is there something within windows that may be competing with the signal?

I assume there is nothing else hooked up to FireWire, like a drive, right?

the deck is the only FireWire device plugged in, correct.
