Hey Guys-

          I have been running Avid Xpress DV on my mac for the past three years and I just encountered this problem today. When I click on File -> Export the menu doesn't come up on the screen. The other tabs go grey (unaccessible) and I cannot see the the Export Menu. If I push apple S it will export the file. I haven't updated the operating system, quicktime, or avid in over a year. Hopefully this is a simple fix and any ideas what so ever will be appreciaited.

Well, let's first try trashing the two MCState files on your system and also the site settings file. IF neither of those work, try a new user and see if things improve.

Thank you for your response BLKDOG. I think these boards are more of a suicide prevention hotline than a party. Regardless, I am happy to be here. I trashed the MCstate files, the site settings, zapped the P-RAM, and I tried a new user. None of these worked. I also tried exporting in a different project and I encountered the same problem. Any more ideas would be appreciated. Thank you for your time. -MT
